Yes its May and that means Shad and Over size Sturgeon. If you have kids now is the time to show them what fishing is all about. When fishing is good multiple hook ups are the norm. These fish not only hit often they hit hard and put up a great fight. Your kids will have a blast! If you really want to get your kids hooked on fishing start early on the Shad and finish the day up with a 8-14ft Sturgeon. Make sure to allow yourself an hour or more for the fight, no joke!Shad are not the greatest eating fish but they work great for over size Sturgeon and there is no better crab bait on earth! If you use these fish in your crab traps you will need to check you nets often Crabs REALLY like these things, REALLY!
