Top 10 Bass Fishing Oregon

Here's a look at Oregon's Top 10 producers of trophy largemouth and smallmouth bass.

.)Henry Hagg lake: Five consecutive state records have been caught here. The last state record smallmouth was caught in 2005 and topped the scales at 8 pounds, 1.76 ounces. All other previous records where in the 7 pound range. So keep your eye on Henry Hagg lake for the next possible smallmouth state record.
.) Lake Selmac: The biggest largemouth bass caught in Selmac was 11 pound, 7.4 ounces. Although that is a beast of a bass, larger bass have been spotted just not landed.
.) Davis Lake: Located on the Deschutes/Klamath County border, Davis is definitely a sleeper reservoir. There is no quantity or size limit on warmwater species. However, Davis is a fly fishing only lake, so plastic worms and jigs are not an option. Bass topping 5 and 6 pounds are common place here.
.)Crane Praire Reservoir: Crane's one of the top tournament lakes in the state. Bass size's vary from 3 to 7 pounds.
.)Tenmile Lakes: Probably the most popular bass lakes in Oregon. Part of the reason the lake spits out copious quantities of the fat bucketmouths is because all fish over 15 inches must be released.
.) Applegate Reservoir: With plenty of fat little rainbow trout to gobble up, this reservoir could hold the new state record Largemouth bass.
.) Dorena Reservoir: This lake is known as big big-bass lake. What she gives up in quantity, she makes up in quality. Bass topping 10 pounds are common place. But if you catch that monster give him a kiss and toss him back because every thing over 15 inches must be released.
.)Prineville Reservoir: Great Bass action in May and June. Large and Smallmouth bass are caught here.
.) Lost Creek Reservoir: Located near Medford, Lost creek used to own a state record Largemouth, and a few Smallmouth close to state record size have been caught in recent years from this 3,000-acre impoundment.
.)Columbia river: The Columbia was home to several state record smallies, the last of which went a respectable 6 pounds, 14 ounces. The Columbia river is a must do for Smallmouth bass!
