Sandy River Salmon fishing

Late Spring Chinook Salmon are still available. Many are Spawned out but some are still there waiting there turn. Catching these fish is a blast! They are full of fight and still biting. This one was a little dark, still a great fish for the smoker. The other Salmon was crome and provided two large slabs for the cedar plank. Blue fox spinners work well, in late afternoon. Eggs, and corkys work great in the morning.
Recently I had lost that spark for the outdoors. I had sold my 19ft Thunder jet, and fishing from the bank just got me down. Elbow to Elbow Saturday night Smack down fishing was just not my style.
Thanks to a resent chance meeting, that spark for the outdoors was reignited. All it took was a little advice and encouragement to get back out there. Well after fighting two twin twenty five pound Chinook Salmon in just under one hour, that Spark is back. Thanks Chris!
My next challenge is to put that sparkle into my 11yr old daughters eyes, we try ed the next morning with no luck, but this is going to be a great year for her I promise you that.
Sandy River Silvers should be moving up the river beginning in Sept, grab your pole and get ready for a great day on the river. http://www.anglerguide.com/oregon/index.cfm?TR_ID=240
